Remote Commercial HVAC Service and Repair Quoter

ABOUT THE ROLE
A commercial HVAC service company needs a Service and Repair Quoter. You price repairs on equipment already installed in commercial facilities. This is not project estimating.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Review technician field reports, photos, equipment nameplates, and scope notes
  • Build repair and service quotes for commercial units 25 tons and under
  • Price time and material, flat rate, and quoted repair work using set labor rates, material markups, and margin targets
  • Source and confirm parts pricing from vendors and distributors
  • Verify availability and lead times
  • Flag scope gaps, missing information, and safety or code concerns to dispatch and technicians before a quote goes out
  • Own and prioritize the quote queue by urgency, customer commitment, and revenue impact
  • Follow up on open quotes to move them to approved work orders
  • Keep the service platform current so pricing history and quote status stay accurate
  • Track quoted cost against actual job cost and help close recurring pricing gaps
  • Help build flat rate pricing books, material catalogs, and quote templates
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
This is a quota-carrying role. Performance is measured on:
  • Quote volume
  • Turnaround, with standard repairs quoted the same business day
  • Accuracy against actual job cost
  • Margin compliance
  • Queue health
Targets sit on a separate quota sheet. Performance is reviewed in a weekly scorecard. The quota bonus depends on meeting margin and accuracy standards. Volume alone does not trigger it.
REQUIRED
  • 2 or more years in estimating, service pricing, or purchasing
  • Repair or service quoting experience on installed commercial equipment
  • HVAC, mechanical, or skilled trades background strongly preferred
  • Strong numerical aptitude with labor rates, material costs, markups, and margins
  • Proven accuracy at high volume under deadlines
  • Strong English
  • Clear, professional writing for customer-facing quotes
  • Spreadsheet proficiency
  • Comfort learning ServiceTitan
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a distraction-free workspace
PREFERRED
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and terminology
  • Experience reading technician field reports and equipment nameplates
  • Familiarity with flat rate pricing books and vendor sourcing
  • Hands-on ServiceTitan experience

Full time. Remote. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
